Wallpaper - Pond Ripples

Created by June Erica Vess, our Pond Ripples wallpaper brings an impressionistic, painterly landscape into the home with soft gestural brushstrokes and shimmering light. The composition moves effortlessly between fluid aqua, turquoise, and jade green tones across the upper expanse, settling into dappled blossoms and floating water lily motifs in creamy white, soft blush, peach, and muted sage below. The loose, dabbed paint texture gives the surface an airy rhythm that feels expressive without overwhelming a room. Printed made to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, this design is straightforward to hang and balances artistic presence with gentle decorative ease.

In the room

The impressionistic movement and painterly detail in this design make it especially captivating across a larger uninterrupted wall, such as behind a living room sofa or anchoring a primary bedroom. Because the motif blends cool turquoise water tones with lighter, warmer floral dabs, it functions beautifully as a feature wall that introduces color without feeling visually heavy. In dining spaces or wider hallways, the fluid rhythm draws the eye horizontally across the surface, giving the impression of an expansive outdoor vista. We also like how the lighter whites and pastel tones catch natural daylight, softening the overall look during the day while retaining its rich, layered depth under warm evening lighting.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we recommend letting the expressive brushwork serve as the primary visual pattern in the room, keeping surrounding furniture relatively calm and grounded.

• Pair with light or mid-toned warm woods such as white oak, natural ash, or pale birch to complement the soft organic tones in the floral foreground.
• Choose upholstered seating or bedding in neutral off-white, oat, or muted stone fabrics, allowing the turquoise and seafoam shades on the wall to stand out naturally.
• Introduce subtle accents in soft peach, terracotta, or warm brass to echo the delicate warm highlights scattered throughout the lower portion of the motif.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a refreshing palette of turquoise, deep jade, and seafoam green, balanced by creamy whites, pale mint, soft peach, and rosy blush pink. To create a cohesive interior, we suggest painting adjacent walls and trim in a warm alabaster or chalky off-white that matches the lightest brushstrokes. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, pulling a muted sage or soft celadon green from the mid-tones onto surrounding woodwork or cabinetry creates a harmonious, nature-inspired transition.
