Wallpaper - Verdigris and Melon I

Our Verdigris and Melon I wallpaper by June Erica Vess brings an expressive abstract composition to the wall with fluid watercolor-like washes and lively gestural marks. Soft layers of verdigris, emerald, and muted celadon blend into delicate washes of melon peach, pale sand, and warm off-white. The piece builds outward from an energetic, deeply pigmented center into airy, translucent brushwork and fine linear accents. Made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, this PVC-free design features a subtle structure in the paper and is simple to hang.

In the room

Because the composition radiates from a vibrant center toward lighter, open edges, we like this design best on a main wall where the artwork has space to breathe. In a living room or dining area, placing this wallpaper behind a sofa or dining table anchors the room without feeling heavy or closed in. The softer melon and sand tones balance the saturated green core, allowing the mural to sit comfortably in rooms with generous natural daylight as well as spaces lit softly in the evening. In a bedroom, it works naturally as a feature wall behind the headboard, bringing color and movement while maintaining an open, airy feeling across the surrounding space.

Styling it

We recommend keeping the larger furniture pieces relatively simple in form so the dynamic brushstrokes of the wallpaper remain the focal point. Low-profile seating or dining chairs with clean silhouettes provide an uncluttered foundation against the lively movement of the design.

For surrounding materials, lighter woods such as birch or blonde oak pair effortlessly with the pale sand and celadon tones. You can also introduce understated black metal or slender brass frames on lighting and side tables to echo the delicate linear pencil-like marks running through the motif.

Colour combinations

The artwork centers on rich verdigris, deep teal green, and soft sage, warmed by subtle accents of melon peach, sandy beige, and warm white.

When choosing paint colors for adjacent walls or trim, a warm off-white or soft alabaster keeps the overall atmosphere bright and cohesive. To create a cozier, more enveloped room, you could pull the muted celadon or warm sand tone onto neighboring surfaces. Accents in muted peach, terracotta, or warm neutral upholstery will tie directly into the warmer watercolor washes within the print.
