Wallpaper - Chromatic Fields I

Our Chromatic Fields I wallpaper, designed by June Erica Vess, brings together sweeping horizontal brushstrokes and lively dabs of paint to create an expressive, painterly landscape. Rich coral pinks, vibrant reds, warm oranges, and sunny yellows drift across deep emerald greens, cerulean blues, and soft sky tones, capturing the rhythm of a sunlit meadow or coastal hillside in full bloom. What we particularly like is how the energetic layering of color creates a sense of depth and movement across the wall. Made to measure for your exact wall dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle paper structure and are straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of its expressive horizontal movement and expansive scale, we see this design working beautifully on a main living room wall behind a sofa or across a generous dining room wall. Giving the pattern an uninterrupted surface lets the layering of painterly brushwork unfold naturally from the darker green foreground up toward the soft horizon.

In a bedroom, we like placing this wall mural behind a low headboard where the pink, coral, and teal tones can set a vibrant yet grounded tone for the entire room. In naturally bright spaces with wide windows, daylight brings out the subtle contrast between the layered gouache-like strokes, while softer evening lighting deepens the emerald and cerulean undertones.

Styling it

With a mural that carries such dynamic color and painterly texture, we recommend balancing the room with furniture that features clean, uncomplicated lines. Low-profile pieces allow the full vertical progression of the landscape to remain visible without feeling crowded.

• Choose furniture in warm, mid-tone wood or painted neutrals so the rich palette on the wall takes center stage.
• Keep surrounding upholstery and larger textiles in solid, woven finishes rather than competing patterns, allowing the brushstroke texture to be the primary focus.
• Add focused warm lighting, such as a directional floor lamp or low pendant, to highlight the warm pink and orange accents as daylight fades.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on an inspiring palette of coral pink, terracotta red, warm golden yellow, bright sky blue, cerulean, and deep forest green, all resting on a soft pale blue and white background.

To create a cohesive interior, we suggest pulling one of the wallpaper's foundational tones into surrounding surfaces. An adjacent wall painted in a soft, chalky off-white or muted sky blue keeps the space airy, while a deeper forest green on trim or low cabinetry can anchor the room and echo the lower section of the artwork. If you want a warmer atmosphere, accents in dusty rose or terracotta will pick up the energetic floral brushstrokes across the middle ground.
