Wallpaper - Static Pastel I

Designed by June Erica Vess, our Static Pastel I wallpaper brings together an expressive abstract composition of layered brushstrokes, soft geometric blocks, and fluid gestural lines. The palette balances dusty blush, warm apricot, and creamy beige with cool accents of powder blue and slate grey. Broad, painterly patches create an inviting rhythm across the wall, while finer sketched details and varying opacities give the design depth and movement. Made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper is printed on paper with a subtle physical structure and is designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because the abstract composition is rich with painterly layers and tonal variety, we see this mural wallpaper working particularly well on a main feature wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining room. In an open-plan living area, placing the design behind a sofa gives the space an artistic anchor without overwhelming surrounding zones. In a bedroom, installing it across the wall behind the headboard introduces gentle warmth and visual interest. For rooms with generous natural light, the subtle shifts between the pale cream, soft pink, and muted blue tones become especially noticeable throughout the day.

Styling it

We recommend letting the expressive painterly forms of the wallpaper take center stage by pairing it with furniture that has clean, understated lines. Simple silhouettes in natural wood, such as light oak or warm birch, complement the earthy apricot and beige tones in the pattern. For upholstery and textiles, soft neutral fabrics in off-white, oat, or light grey allow the wallpaper to stand out while keeping the overall room calm and cohesive. Matte black or charcoal accent pieces can also be used sparingly to echo the deeper charcoal and slate brush marks scattered throughout the artwork.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper features a balanced mix of blush pink, peach, warm beige, cream, powder blue, and slate grey. To build a harmonious palette around the mural, we suggest pulling from the softer background shades, such as warm off-white or light sand, for adjacent painted walls and architectural trim. If you want to introduce more color through larger furniture or soft furnishings, muted blush or dusty blue provides a natural connection to the cooler and warmer accents within the brushwork.
