Wallpaper - Petal Motion II

Our Petal Motion II wallpaper, created by June Erica Vess, brings together expressive abstract brushwork and soft, luminous tones. What we particularly like about this design is the central cluster of petal-like strokes in white and pale olive, framed by washes of pastel pink, ochre yellow, soft teal, and fluid line marks. The composition feels light and dynamic, balanced against a warm, pale background. Printed as custom wall murals, our wallpapers are made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

Because of the centered, artwork-like composition and fluid gestures, we see this working especially well on a primary feature wall where the full design can be viewed without heavy interruption. In a living room, placing this mural wallpaper behind a low-profile sofa gives the central brushstrokes space to breathe. It also works beautifully in a bedroom behind a headboard or in a bright dining room where the light tones can expand the feeling of openness across the wall.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this wallpaper with furniture that has clean, contemporary lines and low visual weight, allowing the expressive painterly marks to remain the focal point. Light, natural wood furniture complements the warm undertones of the ochre and peach washes without competing for attention. For soft furnishings, smooth textured fabrics in neutral off-white or muted blush tie the room together while keeping the overall setting calm and cohesive.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a delicate palette of pastel pink, ochre yellow, pale olive green, soft teal, and crisp white highlights against an off-white background. When choosing paint or accents for the surrounding space, soft warm whites or pale neutral creams on adjacent walls create an effortless transition. If you want to introduce a touch more depth, subtle olive or muted seafoam accents in cushions or ceramic decor will gently pick up the cooler brushstrokes within the pattern.
