Wallpaper - My Iceland Plot IV

Our floral wallpaper, created with artist Shirley Novak, captures a vibrant meadow of blooming poppies rendered with a fluid, watercolor-like character. Broad white petals with warm golden-yellow centers form the focal rhythm of the composition, punctuated by energetic splashes of bright orange, coral red, and soft blush pink set against lush mossy green foliage. The painterly washes, visible brush marks, and delicate flecks of color give the mural wallpapers an airy, expressive quality that brings an organic sense of movement to an interior. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

We love how this design brings the outdoors inside with an open, sunlit presence. In a living room or behind a dining table, the expressive scale of the poppies creates an inviting focal wall that grounds the space without feeling heavy. Because the lower half of the motif carries larger, luminous white blooms while the upper section transitions into smaller buds and soft green washes, it works beautifully on uninterrupted accent walls where the full vertical rhythm can be seen. In a bedroom, placing this wallpaper along the wall behind the headboard creates a cheerful, botanical backdrop that pairs naturally with light-filled spaces.

Styling it

Because our floral wallpapers feature expressive brushwork and rich watercolor tones, we suggest keeping surrounding furniture clean-lined and understated to let the wall mural take center stage.

• Balance the vibrant red, orange, and golden accents by choosing simple wooden furniture in light oak, ash, or natural birch, which grounds the botanical palette without competing with it.
• Select larger textiles such as upholstery, curtains, or bed linens in quiet off-white, oat, or unbleached neutral fabrics to echo the airy white petals.
• Introduce accent cushions or ceramic tableware that pick up subtle notes of warm terracotta, muted coral, or soft moss green for a cohesive, thoughtfully styled room.

Colour combinations

The palette in this wallpaper is defined by luminous warm white, sunny yellow, rich orange, poppy red, and varied tones of olive and moss green, with gentle hints of coral pink. When choosing paint or materials for adjacent walls and trim, warm neutrals like creamy off-white, linen, or soft sand create a seamless and bright backdrop. If you prefer deeper contrast, pairing the design with muted olive green or warm clay tones on surrounding woodwork creates a cozy, grounded garden atmosphere.
