Wallpaper - Press For Champagne I

Our Press For Champagne I wallpaper by Mercedes Lopez Charro brings a playful, vintage-inspired motif to the wall with an illustrated golden call button set against soft pink and white vertical watercolor-look stripes. The ornate, baroque-style frame features painted golden-yellow, ochre, and warm brown shading around a central oval with the whimsical text "PRESS FOR CHAMPAGNE". We love how the centered illustration combines painterly softness with a fun, decorative focal point. Our made-to-measure mural wallpapers are PVC-free and printed on paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as an accent wall in a dining room, kitchen, dressing room, or entertaining space where you want to introduce a touch of lighthearted character. Because the design has a clear central motif framed by vertical stripes, it sits naturally on a feature wall behind a dining table, a bar cart area, or an open entryway. In a powder room or dressing area, the soft pink backdrop adds warmth without overwhelming compact wall areas, while the vertical striping provides a gentle visual rhythm that draws the eye upward.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we suggest leaning into its vintage, Parisian bistro-inspired charm while keeping surrounding pieces balanced:

• Bring in warm brass or antiqued gold hardware and lighting fixtures to echo the painted golden frame in the artwork.
• Pair the soft pink and cream tones with warm white painted walls, natural painted cabinetry, or light marble surfaces nearby.
• Choose furniture with classic or slightly curved silhouettes rather than stark, heavy geometric forms to complement the ornate scrollwork.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centers on soft blush pink and off-white in the background stripes, balanced by rich golden ochres, mustard yellows, and warm umber tones in the illustrated frame. When decorating the rest of the space, crisp warm whites, soft ivory, and gentle creams make effortless companions for adjacent walls, trim, and ceiling surfaces. For a richer accent, deep bottle green or charcoal in nearby upholstery or painted woodwork creates a striking, elegant contrast with the pink and gold tones.
