Wallpaper - Azat Mountain Valley

In our Azat Mountain Valley wallpaper by June Erica Vess, a sweeping mountain range comes alive through painterly, energetic brushwork. We love how the composition layers sunlit terracotta, warm ochre, amber, and deep rust across the ridgelines, balanced by a soft blue sky and an earthy valley floor dotted with olive, sand, and turquoise tones. The visible canvas texture in the artwork gives the landscape a genuine painted character across the wall. As with all our wall murals, this design is made to measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

Because of the horizontal breadth and dramatic silhouette of the mountain ridge, we see this mural wallpaper working particularly well on a wide, relatively uninterrupted wall. In a living room, placing it along the primary wall behind a low sofa allows the full mountain crest to anchor the space without feeling crowded. In a bedroom, it creates an inviting backdrop behind the bed, where the warm earth tones establish a grounded, welcoming atmosphere. The bold, expressive brushstrokes also make it an engaging choice for a dining room or a dedicated study, especially in spaces with generous natural light that highlights the interplay between the warm terracotta peaks and the cooler sky.

Styling it

To let the dynamic movement and rich colors of the landscape remain the focal point, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture silhouettes low and relatively quiet. Low-profile credenzas, clean-lined seating, and open shelving work beautifully against the mural, ensuring the vertical peaks and sky remain visible throughout the room.

When it comes to surrounding materials, we love pairing this wallpaper with warm natural woods like walnut or warm oak, which resonate naturally with the ochre and rust tones of the mountains. Matte black or aged bronze lighting fixtures offer a crisp graphic contrast that complements the dark shadows along the foothills, while textured, unpatterned fabrics in sand or oatmeal keep the overall interior feeling balanced and cohesive.

Colour combinations

The palette within our design centres on warm, sunbaked earth tones: terracotta, golden ochre, burnt sienna, and warm sand, paired with deep olive greens, soft sky blue, and touches of teal.

When choosing paint colors for adjacent walls or trim, we suggest pulling directly from the lighter elements of the landscape. A creamy off-white or pale sand on surrounding walls will keep the room bright while echoing the desert floor. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, a muted terracotta or deep olive on the trim or adjacent walls draws out the depth of the peaks and brings a cozy, intentional harmony to the entire room.
