Wallpaper - White Church

Our White Church wallpaper by Krystal Adams brings an expansive, painted countryside scene to the wall with an open sky full of drifting clouds and a charming rural chapel nestled in the landscape. What we particularly like about this design is the painterly brushwork and textural visual quality, where soft dabs of sky blue, warm cream, lavender-tinted white, and muted earthy greens create a tranquil, airy horizon. The low placement of the church and tree line leaves the vast upper portion open and luminous, giving the mural wallpaper a remarkable sense of height and breathing room. Like all of our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical paper structure.

In the room

Because the composition devotes most of its visual weight to the wide, airy sky, this design works wonderfully across a feature wall in a living room, dining room, or bedroom. Placing the wallpaper behind a lower sofa or a low bedframe allows the horizon line and church steeple to remain visible while letting the sweeping clouds draw the eye upwards. In a room with standard ceiling heights, the high horizon ratio can help the entire wall area feel open and expansive.

For longer walls or open-plan layouts, the panoramic landscape creates a calm focal point that does not overwhelm the space with busy repeats. The softer tonal transitions between the blues, pale purples, and warm whites also respond beautifully to shifting daylight throughout the day, looking fresh and crisp in the morning and settling into a gentle warmth in softer ambient lighting.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we suggest leaning into relaxed, classic or rustic-leaning contemporary furnishings that echo its painterly countryside mood without competing with the scenic motif.

We would pair the design with warm wood furniture, such as natural oak or vintage painted pieces, to complement the earthy tones along the lower edge of the landscape. For textiles, keeping upholstery and window treatments in muted, solid shades like oatmeal, washed cream, or soft sage green helps maintain a serene balance, letting the sky and architectural focal point command attention.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is composed around an airy palette of sky blue, cloud white, soft lilac undertones, sage green, and warm ochre accents along the foreground meadow, contrasted by the deep slate and charcoal tones of the church roof and spire.

To create a cohesive scheme around it, we recommend drawing from the paler tones in the sky for adjoining walls, using soft off-white, light cream, or a whisper of pale chalky blue. For cabinetry, trim, or accent furniture, deeper forest greens, slate greys, or warm muted golds can ground the room by picking up the landscape's rich ground details.
