Wallpaper - Whisper Shoreline II

Our Whisper Shoreline II wallpaper by June Erica Vess brings an open coastal atmosphere into a room through broad, expressive brushstrokes and a soft, airy palette. The motif suggests a tranquil shoreline where gentle sky blues, soft seafoam, chalky whites, and pale sandy peach tones meet deeper slate grey and muted stone along the horizon. What we especially like about this design is the balance between the open, painterly sky above and the layered texture of the coastal rocks below. Made to measure to your exact wall dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle paper structure that gives painterly artwork an authentic depth on the wall.

In the room

Because of its horizontal landscape composition and expansive feel, we see this wall mural working particularly well across a wider, uninterrupted wall. In a bedroom behind a low headboard or in a living room behind a sofa, the horizontal rhythm grounds the seating or sleeping area while keeping the upper half of the wall feeling light and open. The softer contrast means our mural wallpapers can easily span an entire feature wall without overwhelming the space. In rooms with ample daylight, the delicate shifts between the pale blues and warm sand tones become especially clear, though the design also holds a serene, calming presence in softer evening light.

Styling it

We recommend letting the painterly texture of the wallpaper lead the room, keeping larger furniture relatively quiet in form. Low-profile sofas, unadorned headboards, or streamlined credenzas work well because they do not break up the visual horizon of the shoreline.

To complement the coastal mood without leaning into clichés, look to matte finishes and gentle contrast. Light natural woods like pale ash, whitewashed oak, or light birch echo the sandy tones in the foreground. For soft furnishings, choose breathable textiles in off-white, oat, or washed chambray to echo the fluid, breezy feel of the artwork.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built around soft sky blues, seafoam, warm sand, pale blush peach, chalk white, and accents of charcoal and slate grey.

When choosing paint colors for surrounding walls, woodwork, or cabinetry, we suggest pulling directly from these core tones:

• Soft off-whites and pale stone for adjacent walls to keep the room feeling unified and light.
• Warm sandy beige or pale taupe on trim and doors to bring out the subtle warmth in the rocks.
• Deep slate grey or muted charcoal for smaller accent pieces, lamps, or picture frames to anchor the darker brushstrokes along the horizon line.
