Wallpaper - Palette Throughline I

Created by June Erica Vess, our Palette Throughline I wallpaper brings an expressive, abstract composition to life across a warm, natural paper-toned background. Broad, painterly brushstrokes of soft pink, turquoise, crisp white, and bright ochre orange overlap in a dynamic central cluster, grounded by fine sketched pencil lines and a vibrant touch of crimson red. What we particularly like about this design is the balance between gestural, energetic brushwork and open, breathable negative space. Like all of our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, making it straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because the artwork centers its expressive color and gestural shapes within an open beige field, we see this working exceptionally well as a feature wall behind a sofa in a living room or behind a headboard in a bedroom. The generous negative space around the central cluster allows the design to bring visual character without crowding the space. In a home office or dining area with a wider uninterrupted wall, the mural wallpaper creates an artful focal point that draws the eye naturally toward its painterly details.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and warm, natural finishes that complement its relaxed, modern sensibility. Low-profile seating and minimal shelving keep the wall open so the abstract composition remains the central focus. Selecting understated decorative pieces made from warm wood or matte ceramics allows the vibrant turquoise, ochre, and pink brushstrokes in the mural to stand out effortlessly.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a warm, neutral kraft-tone background layered with turquoise, soft petal pink, white, warm ochre orange, and accents of crimson and charcoal gray. For surrounding walls, trim, and larger upholstery, we recommend drawing directly from the mural's background with soft warm beige, sand, or muted cream. If you prefer introducing subtle accent tones through cushions or accessories, pulling in touches of soft terracotta, dusty rose, or muted teal creates a cohesive, thoughtfully composed palette.
