Wallpaper - Santorini I

Santorini I brings an expressive, Mediterranean architectural vignette into our collection, created by Nikita Jariwala. The composition features traditional whitewashed village buildings, domed roofs, stepped pathways, and delicate archways depicted in fluid blue watercolor-style washes and ink-like linework against an off-white background. What we especially like about this mural wallpaper is the balance between loose painterly pools of blue ink and the clean, structural contour lines that define the hillside town. Like all our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

In a living room or dining space, we see this wall mural working particularly well on an open feature wall where the architectural perspective has room to draw the eye upward. Because the composition carries visual weight along the vertical axis with plenty of open space in the background, it anchors a wall behind a low-backed sofa, a sideboard, or a dining table without feeling overly crowded. In an entryway or hallway, the pathway leading up into the village motif creates a welcoming sense of depth and arrival.

Styling it

We would pair this design with clean-lined, contemporary furniture in pale woods such as bleached oak or birch, letting the cobalt and Mediterranean blue tones remain the focal point. Matte ceramic accents, woven textures, and crisp white or ecru upholstery echo the breezy coastal aesthetic without overcomplicating the room. Keeping surrounding patterns minimal allows the fluid ink washes and sketch details of the wallpaper to stand out clearly.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on vivid cobalt blue, softer watercolor indigo washes, and a warm, creamy off-white ground. For surrounding surfaces, crisp chalk white, warm alabaster, and soft sandy neutrals on adjacent walls or trim will keep the space feeling bright and harmonious. If you want to introduce deeper contrasting accents in smaller furniture or accessories, deep navy, terracotta, or muted ochre pair naturally with the blue-and-white motif.
