Wallpaper - Fading Field

Designed by Nikita Jariwala, our Fading Field wallpaper captures an expressive, painted landscape layered with soft atmospheric depth. Sweeping brushstrokes define a misty horizon where pale sky and distant blue-grey hills gently transition into lush green fields, hints of earthy ochre, and warm yellow wildflowers. The painterly style and open horizon give the design an airy, expansive character that naturally opens up a wall. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

Because of its horizontal landscape composition and soft painterly transitions, Fading Field works exceptionally well across a wide, uninterrupted accent wall. In a living room behind a sofa or in a bedroom behind the headboard, the panoramic vista creates a scenic backdrop without overwhelming the space. The open sky at the top provides visual breathing room, which makes it particularly effective in rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights where you want to foster a sense of vertical openness. In a dining area or a dedicated home office, the mural wallpaper establishes an organic focal point that anchors surrounding furniture naturally.

Styling it

When styling around Fading Field, we recommend letting the expressive landscape take center stage while keeping surrounding elements grounded in simple silhouettes and natural textures.

• Pair the artwork with warm mid-tone woods or light, clean-lined furniture to complement the earthy greens and subtle ochre patches in the foreground.
• Choose larger upholstered pieces in muted neutrals like soft linen, oatmeal, or quiet grey to balance the vivid meadow tones without competing for attention.
• Introduce understated accents in muted sage, deep forest green, or matte brass hardware to pick up on the layered brushwork across the foreground.

Colour combinations

Our Fading Field wallpaper features a rich palette of moss green, deep forest, and vibrant meadow tones, balanced by pale sky blues, soft greys, and warm splashes of yellow and ochre. For adjoining painted walls and trim, we suggest quiet off-whites with neutral undertones or pale, misty greys that mirror the upper atmosphere of the design. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, pulling a deep moss green or soft sage onto adjacent walls creates a seamless, grounded connection to the lower field.
