Wallpaper - Western Rider Sepia

Capturing the quiet discipline of equestrian life, our Western Rider Sepia wall mural focuses on a close crop of a rider in the stirrup against the flank of a horse. Created in collaboration with Wild Apple Portfolio, this photographic design uses a muted sepia and monochrome palette, bringing together soft warm greys, rich charcoal blacks, and gentle off-white tones. The composition highlights fine leatherwork, the metallic curve of the spur, and the subtle texture of the saddle blanket. Like all our wallpapers, this mural wallpaper is made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle physical structure that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of its dramatic, large-scale photographic composition, we see this wall mural working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted accent wall. Placing it behind a low-backed sofa in a living room or behind the headboard in a primary bedroom gives the detailed photographic elements room to make an impression without feeling cut off by tall furniture. In a study or home library, the sepia tones create an atmospheric, grounded backdrop that sits naturally alongside book collections and quiet seating corners.

Styling it

When styling around this mural wallpaper, we suggest leaning into classic, understated materials that echo its equestrian character without overcomplicating the room. Low-profile furniture in dark painted finishes or deep-toned woods pairs naturally with the darker tones of the riding boot and stirrup leathers. To balance the large-scale imagery, keep surrounding patterns minimal and introduce simple woven textiles, such as a coarse wool throw or heavy linen cushions in muted oatmeal or charcoal.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on warm sepia, deep charcoal, soft off-white, and muted grey tones. To create a cohesive look across the room, we recommend pairing it with adjacent walls painted in soft stone, warm ivory, or a muted ash grey that reflects the lighter areas of the image. For trim, doors, or major furniture pieces, deep charcoal or softened black will pick up the striking contrast of the leather boot and saddle, giving the overall interior a tailored, grounded feel.
