Wallpaper - White Rose In a Glass Vase

Our White Rose In a Glass Vase wallpaper brings painterly drama to the wall, showcasing a single, luminous white bloom resting in a translucent glass vase by artist Danhui Nai. The design centres on broad, expressive brushwork that captures the soft layering of white and cream petals, accented by warm golden-yellow undertones at the flower's core and muted sage green foliage. Set against a deep, moody charcoal and black background with visible painterly texture, this striking contrast creates an intimate, atmospheric presence. Made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, this mural wallpaper turns a classic floral still life into a bold focal point.

In the room

Because of its dramatic chiaroscuro contrast and large single motif, we see this wall mural working particularly well as an accent wall in a bedroom behind a headboard or along a dining room wall. The dark background allows the bright, painterly petals to command visual attention, making it an ideal choice for a wall that has enough space to let the composition breathe without being overly broken up by tall cabinetry. In a living room or a dedicated study, placing it on a central feature wall anchors the seating area, bringing depth and an artful mood to the interior.

Styling it

To balance the expressive, dark backdrop of this design, we would look to warm, tactile materials and understated silhouettes that do not compete with the artwork.

Warm mid-toned or dark woods such as walnut work naturally with the vintage still-life character of the motif. For upholstered pieces and larger textiles, matte fabrics in oatmeal, charcoal, or deep olive green echo the quiet tones in the foliage and background without pulling focus from the main white rose. Keeping surrounding furniture relatively quiet in form allows the painted brushstrokes to remain the focal point of the space.

Colour combinations

The motif itself is built on high contrast, featuring luminous whites, creamy off-whites, and soft buttery ochre in the bloom, grounded by muted sage greens, smoky grey, and deep charcoal black in the background.

When decorating around this wallpaper, we suggest pairing adjacent walls with soft warm off-whites or pale stone grey to maintain a balanced level of light in the room while letting the dark mural stand out. If you prefer a moodier, enveloping atmosphere, deep charcoal, muted olive, or rich slate tones on adjoining walls will seamlessly integrate the background of the artwork into the rest of the space.
