Wallpaper - Canine Couture Quote

Created by Emily Adams, our Canine Couture Quote wallpaper pairs a charming, sketched dog illustration with playful typography reading "I work hard to spoil my dog". The hand-drawn character of the sketch, combined with weathered, stamped-style lettering, sits against a lightly textured off-white background with subtle grey and sepia-toned line work. What we particularly like about this design is its lighthearted personality, balanced by an understated, neutral monochrome palette that keeps the wall feeling open and calm. Like all our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as an accent wall in an entryway, utility room, or a dedicated home office. Because the illustration and text are positioned side by side, giving the design a clear focal point, it benefits from a wall that is relatively open rather than blocked by tall cupboards or large bookcases. In a hallway or mudroom, it introduces a warm, welcoming touch right by the door, while in a casual study or living area, it serves as a fun conversation piece that still feels coordinated with the rest of the space.

Styling it

Because of the graphic, illustrative nature of the motif, we would keep the surrounding furniture simple and grounded. Natural wood finishes, whether lighter ash or warm timber benches, pair nicely with the sketch-like aesthetic. Clean-lined coat hooks, metal hardware in matte black or aged bronze, and simple woven storage baskets complement the relaxed, rustic undertones without cluttering the wall.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a quiet foundation of soft off-white, warm charcoal, and muted grey pencil tones. To complement this, we recommend working with surrounding wall colors in warm chalky whites, soft stone, or pale linen tones to let the artwork sit naturally within the room. If you want more contrast on adjacent walls or trim, deeper charcoal, earthy olive green, or warm slate grey will pick up the darker sketch marks and lettering beautifully.
