Wallpaper - Island Botanica IV

Created by Yvette St. Amant, our Island Botanica IV wallpaper pairs bold, painted palm leaves with a warm, brushed apricot background. What we particularly like about this design is the rich interplay of deep teal, sage, and olive tones against the softly textured peach backdrop, giving the foliage a vibrant, sculptural presence. The large-scale tropical motif creates an inviting statement that brings warmth and energy into a room without overwhelming it. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture.

In the room

Because of its expressive scale and generous leafy forms, we see this design working beautifully on a main feature wall where the composition has space to unfold. In a living room, it sits naturally behind a low-backed sofa, allowing the upward movement of the fronds to draw the eye upward. In a bedroom, it makes a distinctive backdrop behind a bed frame, grounding the room with rich botanical colour. In a dining area or an entryway, the warm peach tones create an inviting atmosphere from the moment you step inside. If you are decorating a room with ample natural light, the contrast between the sunny undertones in the background and the darker teal shadows in the leaves becomes especially striking.

Styling it

When styling around this wallpaper, we suggest balancing the bold foliage with simple, unpretentious interior elements that let the artwork take centre stage.

• Choose warm natural timber, such as honey oak, rattan, or light walnut, to pick up on the earthy warmth of the peach and apricot backdrop.
• Keep surrounding upholstery and larger textiles in neutral shades like warm cream, oatmeal, or soft terracotta so the green tones remain the visual focus.
• Incorporate subtle matte black or antique bronze accents in lighting or hardware to echo the deeper teal shadows within the leaves.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built around a striking contrast between leafy greens, ranging from pale moss and olive to deep oceanic teal, and a textured peach-apricot background with soft golden undertones. When choosing colours for surrounding walls, trim, or larger furniture, soft warm whites and creamy off-whites create a clean, modern frame around the design. For a more enveloping, colour-rich scheme, you could pull the warm peach tone onto adjoining walls, or introduce deep teal on an accent armchair or painted trim to tie directly into the darkest sections of the foliage.
