Wallpaper - Burnt Horizon ll

Our Burnt Horizon II wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, translates an abstract landscape into sweeping, painterly layers of earthy ochre, warm terracotta, soft sand, and misty cream. Broad brushstrokes build a tranquil horizon of rolling hills and ridges, giving the composition a calm, expressive rhythm across the wall. The gentle gradation of warm tones and visible canvas-like brush texture create a grounded, serene atmosphere without overwhelming a room. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We love seeing this design on a main wall in a bedroom or living room, where the horizontal flow of the landscape can stretch across a wide surface uninterrupted. Positioned behind a low headboard or a deep sofa, the layered bands of earth tones naturally draw the eye across the room, anchoring the seating or sleeping area.

In a quiet home office or reading nook, the muted horizon brings an expansive, open feel that helps the space feel less enclosed. The warm palette responds beautifully to natural daylight, which brings out the subtle shifts between dusty pinks, ochres, and warm tans, while soft lamps in the evening emphasize the richer, darker brown tones at the base.

Styling it

The warm, earthy palette and expressive brushwork pair naturally with grounded, relaxed interiors. We suggest pairing this wallpaper with furniture made from natural materials such as oak, ash, or light teak, which echoes the organic warmth of the landscape without competing with the painted strokes.

To balance the horizontal movement of the artwork, keep large upholstered pieces relatively quiet in neutral tones like oat, unbleached linen, or warm stone. Subtle accents in woven jute, brushed brass, or matte terracotta ceramics will gently pick up the motif's undertones while maintaining a calm, curated balance.

Colour combinations

The design itself centers around a harmonious spectrum of natural pigments: rich burnt umber, warm mustard ochre, peach-tinted sand, and soft off-white.

When choosing paint colors for adjacent walls or trim, we recommend leaning into warm, muted neutrals rather than cool greys or stark bright whites. A soft ivory, creamy beige, or pale clay will create an effortless transition around the rest of the room. If you prefer more definition, deep walnut wood finishes or espresso accents provide a striking contrast that mirrors the deepest ridgelines in the painting.
