Wallpaper - Summer Days

Created by Kathy Ferguson, our Summer Days wallpaper brings together layered horizontal bands of collage-inspired artwork. The design balances cool tones of indigo, sky blue, periwinkle, and chalky white with subtle graphic details, including polka dots, fine line work, and small, energetic pops of red. The horizontal rhythm and mixed-media character give the motif an open, artistic presence across the wall. Made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle surface structure in the paper and are straightforward to hang.

In the room

The horizontal layering of Summer Days makes it particularly effective in spaces where you want to draw the eye across the room. We see this working exceptionally well on a wide living room wall behind a low sofa or credenza, where the long bands of color can flow without being heavily interrupted. In a bedroom, placing this design behind the bedhead creates an artistic backdrop that feels grounded yet visually dynamic. For a creative home office or dining space, the mural wallpapers format provides enough detail to stay engaging up close while maintaining a balanced, expansive presence from across the room.

Styling it

Because this design contains a rich mix of collage textures and geometric patterns, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture shapes relatively clean and understated.

• Choose low-profile furniture in pale wood or simple matte finishes to let the horizontal flow of the artwork anchor the space.
• Introduce solid textiles in washed blues, soft greys, or natural whites rather than competing multi-pattern fabrics.
• Echo the wallpaper's small accent notes by adding a single warm red or terracotta decorative ceramic on a nearby shelf or table.

Color combinations

Our Summer Days wallpaper is built on a foundation of soft sky blue, deep indigo, periwinkle, off-white, and pale grey, punctuated by small touches of bold red. When choosing surrounding wall colors or cabinetry, soft off-whites and pale stone shades will keep the atmosphere light and airy. If you prefer more visual depth, pairing the design with deeper navy or muted slate on adjacent walls creates a sophisticated, cozy envelope. For accents, warm neutrals and small touches of rust or coral tie directly back to the warm details scattered across the collage.
