Wallpaper - Modern Petals IV

Our Modern Petals IV wallpaper, designed by Cheryl Warrick, brings together expressive botanical shapes and a rich, painterly blue backdrop. Centred around stylized floral blooms in soft peach, blush pink, coral, and warm apricot, the composition is balanced by lively green foliage and delicate dotted clusters. The painted visual texture and vibrant contrast give the motif an artistic, graphic presence on the wall. Made to measure for your exact dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle paper texture that gives depth to every brushstroke-inspired detail.

In the room

With its saturated cobalt ground and dynamic floral arrangement, this wallpaper works especially well on an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining area. We like placing it behind a headboard or along a main living room wall where the variety of petal shapes and leafy forms can unfold across an uninterrupted surface. In an entryway or hallway, the rich palette creates an inviting, enveloping entry point. The balance between deep blues and bright floral accents also allows it to hold its own in rooms with generous natural daylight as well as spaces lit primarily by warm lamps in the evening.

Styling it

Because the motif carries plenty of visual energy and artistic movement, we suggest keeping surrounding furniture relatively calm and grounded. Simple mid-century silhouettes or clean modern forms in warm timber, such as walnut or natural oak, complement the rich blue background without competing for attention.

For textiles and soft furnishings, choosing solid weaves in muted cream, terracotta, or soft blush helps pull out the individual flower tones while giving the eye restful areas to land. Matte ceramic accents and simple brushed metal finishes keep the focus on the artwork.

Colour combinations

The design is built on a layered ground of deep cobalt and royal blue, animated by warm peach, blossom pink, rich coral, apricot, chartreuse, and olive green.

When choosing paint for neighbouring walls and woodwork, a warm off-white or soft linen shade offers a clean, crisp contrast that lets the wall mural stand out. If you prefer a richer, more cocooning atmosphere, deep navy or muted olive on adjacent walls or trim creates a seamless, grounded connection to the botanical foliage.
