Wallpaper - Woodland Rabbit

Our Woodland Rabbit wallpaper, created by Danhui Nai, features an expressive sketch of an alert hare or rabbit standing among delicate grasses against an aged, warm parchment background. What we especially like about this design is the balance between the detailed, hatched line drawing and the open, quiet background space. The sepia and warm beige tones give the mural wallpaper an understated vintage illustration character that feels timeless rather than busy. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

Because the composition centers around a single standalone illustration with generous negative space, we see this working particularly well as a focal wall in a nursery, a child's bedroom, or a cozy reading nook. The open background ensures the room retains an airy, uncluttered feel, while the gentle illustration brings warmth and character. In a bedroom or guest room, placing the design on an uninterrupted wall behind a bed or low dresser allows the full figure and surrounding sketch lines to be enjoyed without obstruction.

Styling it

We would keep the surrounding furnishings grounded and natural to match the hand-drawn illustration style:

• Choose warm, natural wood finishes such as light oak, ash, or pine for cribs, bed frames, or shelving to harmonize with the parchment tones.
• Pair with soft, earthy textiles like neutral linen curtains, unbleached cotton bedding, or a woven wool rug that complement the gentle palette without competing with the motif.
• Keep wall decor on adjacent surfaces minimal, allowing this characterful sketch to serve as the primary artistic feature in the space.

Colour combinations

The motif itself is rendered in rich sepia and charcoal sketch tones set against a warm beige, oatmeal-like background. For surrounding painted walls and woodwork, we recommend staying within a soft, neutral spectrum. Off-whites, warm creams, and pale sandy tones blend naturally with the background paper tone, creating a calm, cohesive backdrop. If you prefer subtle contrast, muted earthy hues like warm taupe, soft olive, or gentle clay on adjacent walls or trim will highlight the depth of the sketch work.
