Wallpaper - Dusty Rose Hillside

Our Dusty Rose Hillside wallpaper brings an atmospheric, painterly landscape into the home. Designed by Pamela Munger, the motif features broad, sweeping brushwork depicting rolling hills in muted dusty rose, terracotta, and soft mauve tones, set against a dark treeline and an expansive sky of cool greys and soft white. The horizontal composition and painted-looking visual texture give the scenery a quiet depth without overwhelming the room. Printed as custom made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it is straightforward to hang and brings a serene artistic focus to your walls.

In the room

Because the landscape opens upward into a large area of pale, overcast sky, we find this design works exceptionally well on a wider, relatively uninterrupted wall where the full panorama can unfold. In a living room or behind a headboard in a bedroom, the low horizon line grounds the space, while the airy upper half helps the wall feel expansive and open.

The painterly, low-contrast finish also makes it a natural fit for a dining room or a quiet home office. In rooms with generous natural light, the subtle shifts between the warm blush earth tones and the cool slate greys become especially nuanced, while warm evening lamps bring out the richer terracotta undertones along the lower hillside.

Styling it

When styling around this mural, we like to echo its earthy, organic quality with natural textures and grounded silhouettes. Low-profile furniture works particularly well here, ensuring that the sweeping diagonal line of the hill and the dark horizon remain visible across the room.

To complement the impressionistic brushstrokes, consider introducing unpolished stone or matte ceramics, alongside tactile woven textiles such as soft wool throws or linen upholstery. Keeping large pieces in simple, solid tones allows the wallpaper to serve as the primary artistic statement in the room without competing patterns.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a considered balance of warm and cool tones, featuring dusty rose, faded mauve, terracotta, and dark moss greens, contrasted with pale cloud greys and soft whites.

For surrounding walls and trim, muted off-whites with a slight grey or warm stone undertone create a seamless transition into the sky portion of the mural. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, pulling out the deep olive green from the treeline or a warm clay tone for accent furniture or doors adds depth while beautifully anchoring the palette.
