Wallpaper - Island Botanica I

Our Island Botanica I wallpaper, created by Yvette St. Amant, pairs bold monstera leaves with a vibrant, painterly pink backdrop. The design focuses on two large tropical leaves rendered in layered tones of emerald, sage, deep teal, and chartreuse, set against an expressive coral-pink background with visible brushwork detail. We love the graphic impact of the broad botanical silhouettes and the lively color contrast between the cool green foliage and warm pink surface. Made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper brings an energetic, tropical character into the home on paper featuring a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as an accent wall in a living room, dining space, or bedroom where the bold color combination can anchor the entire space. Because of the large visual scale of the monstera foliage, we recommend placing it on an open wall where the full shapes of the leaves have room to be appreciated, such as behind a sofa or headboard. In a hallway or entryway, it offers an immediate, welcoming burst of color that feels lively and distinctive without overwhelming smaller transition spaces.

Styling it

When styling around such an expressive botanical motif, we suggest balancing the vibrant palette with calm, grounded furnishings. Mid-century modern or contemporary furniture pieces in warm wood tones, such as teak or walnut, work beautifully alongside the leafy green tones and soften the contrast against the pink background. We would keep large upholstered pieces relatively understated in off-white, oat, or neutral linen tones, allowing the wallpaper to remain the clear focal point of the interior.

Colour combinations

The motif centers on a rich combination of forest green, olive, jade, and bright lime contrasting with a vivid coral-pink ground. When selecting paint colors for surrounding walls or woodwork, creamy warm whites and muted sandy neutrals provide an easy, harmonious backdrop that lets the artwork stand out. For a bolder, monochromatic approach, pulling a soft blush or muted terracotta onto adjacent trims and doors helps tie the whole room together.
