Wallpaper - Fox In The Flurries

Our Fox In The Flurries wallpaper brings together an expressive painted illustration by Kate Jarvik Birch with a rich winter palette. The composition centers on a red fox looking upward through falling snow, framed by tall golden grasses and a deep slate blue sky. With its warm russet tones, crisp white highlights, and textured brushwork, this design creates an engaging focal point with an illustrative storybook feel. Like all Wallism wallpapers, it is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

Because of the bold central motif and strong painterly detail, we see this wall mural working particularly well as an accent wall in a bedroom, nursery, children's room, or a cozy study. Giving the artwork a relatively uninterrupted wall, such as behind a bed, a reading bench, or a low desk, allows the full posture of the fox and the drifting snowfall to unfold naturally. In smaller rooms, placing the mural on the main viewing wall creates an immersive, welcoming atmosphere without overwhelming the entire space.

Styling it

When styling around this mural wallpaper, we suggest balancing the expressive artwork with quiet, grounded interior elements:

• Pair the wallpaper with warm, natural wood finishes such as pine, honey oak, or ash to echo the golden winter grasses in the foreground.
• Choose simple, solid-colored textiles in muted cream, charcoal, or washed denim so the surrounding furniture supports rather than competes with the painted motif.
• Keep wall decor on adjacent surfaces minimal, letting the character of the illustration remain the clear focus of the room.

Colour combinations

The motif is built around rich russet orange, soft white, golden ochre, and deep slate blue. For adjacent walls and painted trim, a soft off-white or light warm grey keeps the overall room feeling open and bright while letting the orange and teal tones stand out. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, pulling a deep slate blue or moody pine green onto neighboring walls will tie directly into the painted winter sky.
