Wallpaper - Cherry Trio

Our Cherry Trio wallpaper by Julia Purinton brings the classic beauty of still-life painting to the wall. Centred against an intense, velvety black background, three ripe cherries hang gracefully from a delicate stem with deep green leaves. The artwork features rich crimson and ruby tones with soft painted highlights that create a striking sense of depth and form. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, making it straightforward to hang while creating a dramatic focal point in any room.

In the room

The dramatic contrast of this wall mural makes it especially captivating in intimate spaces or dining areas where an artistic focal point can shine. In a dining room or kitchen dining nook, positioning the motif on a dedicated feature wall creates an inviting, gallery-like ambience that grounds the seating area. We also see this design working beautifully in a moody hallway or a sophisticated powder room, where the deep black backdrop envelops the space and allows the vivid red fruit to draw the eye immediately upon entering.

Styling it

Because the motif carries such rich visual depth and contrast, we suggest keeping the surrounding elements simple and intentional:

• Incorporate dark painted cabinetry or rich wood furniture, such as walnut or stained oak, to echo the atmospheric depth of the dark background.
• Introduce warm metallic hardware or lighting accents in muted brass or aged bronze to catch the warm undertones of the stems and highlights.
• Keep surrounding upholstery and soft furnishings in textured neutrals or deep wine tones to create a cohesive, tailored environment without competing with the central artwork.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on deep crimson reds, ruby tones, mossy greens, and a solid black ground. For surrounding walls and woodwork, deep charcoal, soft black, or muted olive greens will seamlessly extend the moody atmosphere of the design. If you prefer higher contrast around the mural, soft chalky whites, warm alabaster, or muted taupe provide a clean backdrop that lets the vibrant red cherries stand out with exceptional clarity.
