Wallpaper - Hazy Shore I

Designed by June Erica Vess, our Hazy Shore I wallpaper brings an abstract, watercolor-like landscape onto the wall through soft washes of color and gentle bleeding edges. Muted shades of watery blue, sage green, misty gray, and faint peach blend across the composition, evoking the quiet atmosphere of a shoreline shrouded in morning mist. Because our mural wallpapers are made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, the delicate transitions between light and shade translate smoothly across larger surfaces.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as an accent wall in a bedroom behind the headboard or along the main wall of a living room. Because the motif is soft and low in contrast, it creates a serene focal point without overwhelming the rest of the interior. In spaces with ample natural daylight, the faint nuances between the pale blue, green, and peach tones become particularly distinct, while softer ambient lighting in the evening enhances its gentle, atmospheric quality. It also suits open dining areas or quiet home offices where you want a sense of subtle depth and visual calm.

Styling it

To complement the fluid, painterly character of this design, we recommend pairing it with furniture that has clean, understated lines. Natural light wood tones such as ash, bleached oak, or pale birch harmonize beautifully with the organic watercolor washes. Soft linen drapery and textured woven rugs in pale neutrals help anchor the space while keeping the overall palette airy. If you want to introduce a touch of contrast, consider small matte black or brushed brass accents in lighting fixtures or table legs to provide a grounded architectural counterpoint to the soft visual movement of the wallpaper.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a harmonious palette of watercolor blue, muted seafoam and sage green, pale ochre, soft peach, and neutral misty grays. When selecting paint colors for adjacent walls, trim, or surrounding cabinetry, soft off-white, warm stone, or pale mist gray create a seamless transition. For a slightly more cohesive and tonal look, pulling out a soft dusty blue or a muted sage from the center of the artwork on surrounding textiles or painted woodwork helps tie the entire room together effortlessly.
