Wallpaper - Abstract Stems II

Created by Cheryl Warrick, our Abstract Stems II wallpaper pairs bold, graphic botanical shapes with a subtle grid background. The composition highlights two large stylized coral-red blooms branching across curving olive-green stems and leaves, detailed with clean white linework and a gentle textured print appearance. The contrast between the organic curves of the flora and the structured pale backdrop gives this design an expressive, contemporary character. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, making it straightforward to hang as a striking focal point.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well on an accent wall where the sweeping scale of the stems and large floral heads can be enjoyed in full. In a living room behind a sofa or along an open dining room wall, the horizontal movement of the vine creates an engaging visual anchor without overwhelming the space. The crisp grid background keeps the overall feeling open and balanced, so it also sits comfortably in a creative home office, entryway, or bedroom where you want a confident focal point.

Styling it

Because the motif features strong graphic silhouettes, we would keep the surrounding furniture relatively clean and modern in form. Simple low-profile seating, minimalist wood dining tables, or sleek shelving allow the botanical artwork to stand out naturally. A neutral flat-weave rug or warm timber flooring will complement the earthy olive tones, while small decorative accents in ceramic or terracotta can subtly echo the coral blooms without creating visual clutter.

Colour combinations

The design centres on rich coral-red blossoms and muted olive-green foliage set against an off-white, light-grid ground. To build a balanced scheme around our wall murals, pair this pattern with soft off-white or light warm grey paint on surrounding walls to maintain an airy atmosphere. For furniture and textiles, muted olive greens, terracotta, warm cream, and natural wood finishes will easily tie the room together.
