Wallpaper - Folk Animals II

Our Folk Animals II wallpaper, created by Omar Escalante, brings an expressive folk-art character to the wall with its striking central panther motif. The design features a stylized black big cat dotted with soft pink rosettes, set against an olive-green backdrop and framed by curved botanical fronds and an ornamental geometric border. Tiny star-like accents scatter across the background, balancing the bold silhouette with decorative charm. Produced as made-to-measure wallpaper on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it is straightforward to hang and adds an energetic focal point to any interior.

In the room

Because of its framed, panel-like composition and strong graphic focus, we see this design working exceptionally well as a feature wall. In a living room or dining area, placing the mural on an uninterrupted wall behind a sofa, sideboard, or dining table allows the central figure and decorative border to be appreciated in full.

The balance of deep black, soft pink, and muted green also suits a playful entryway or a creative home office. In more compact spaces like a powder room or study, the bold scale of the artwork creates an intimate, curated atmosphere without feeling overly chaotic, provided the surrounding wall surfaces give the central motif enough breathing room.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this design with relatively grounded, simple furniture so the artwork remains the primary visual statement in the room.

• Choose warm, natural wood furniture such as mid-tone oak or walnut to complement the organic tones of the green background.
• Introduce plain linen or textured cotton upholstery in neutral shades, allowing the strong black silhouette and pink markings to stand out.
• Incorporate subtle matte black or dark bronze hardware and light fixtures to echo the bold line work and framing of the illustration.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is anchored by a muted olive-green ground, a solid black silhouette, soft dusty pink spots, and teal-green foliage accents.

When choosing colors for adjacent walls and trim, softer off-whites, warm oatmeals, or muted clay tones keep the overall setting balanced. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, drawing out the olive green or echoing the subtle pink in smaller accessories will tie the whole room together seamlessly.
