Wallpaper - Prom Night

Our Prom Night wallpaper mural brings a quiet rural scene into the home, featuring photography by Nathan Larson. The composition centers on a speckled black and white cow standing in an open grassy pasture, with classic red farm buildings and rolling fields resting beneath a soft, overcast sky. We particularly like how the balance of muted meadow greens, cloudy greys, and the deep black markings of the coat creates an atmospheric, grounded scene. Produced as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wall mural with a subtle paper structure, it adds depth and pastoral character to any feature wall.

In the room

Because this mural wallpaper features a distinct focal point in the foreground and a wide landscape background, we recommend giving it an expansive, uninterrupted wall where the full composition has room to breathe. In a living room, it works wonderfully across the main wall behind a low sofa, allowing the open pasture and distant red barns to provide an expansive sense of depth. In a dining room or spacious entryway, placing this wallpaper where it can be seen from across the room creates an immediate, welcoming focal point that draws the eye into the scenery.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we suggest keeping surrounding furniture relatively simple and grounded to let the photography hold the room's visual attention. Low-profile furniture works particularly well here, ensuring that key details like the foreground pasture and the distant farmstead remain unobscured.

Natural, rustic materials pair effortlessly with the pastoral theme. Warm, unpainted wood pieces such as a simple timber dining table or rustic bench complement the rural landscape, while matte black metal accents on light fixtures or chair frames echo the rich dark markings on the cow's coat.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper is defined by earthy meadow greens, cloudy slate greys, soft off-white, and deep charcoal, accented by the rich barn red in the background.

For adjacent walls and painted trim, we suggest pulling directly from these soft background tones. Gentle warm whites, pale misty greys, or muted moss greens allow the mural to blend naturally into the rest of the room. If you want to introduce a touch of warmth through accent cushions, ceramics, or surrounding decor, taking inspiration from the deep rustic red of the farm buildings creates a cohesive, considered accent without overwhelming the quiet atmosphere.
