Wallpaper - Evil Eye Heart

Created by Yvette St. Amant, our Evil Eye Heart wallpaper centres on an ornate talismanic heart painted in rich emerald green. At the heart of the piece sits a detailed eye motif, framed by radiating golden rays, delicate dot work, and a scalloped, beaded golden border. A deep navy background with subtle, shadow-toned botanical silhouettes creates a layered backdrop that lets the central emblem stand out with striking clarity. As with all Wallism mural wallpapers, this design is custom made to your dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because of its strong central focus and expressive scale, we see this design working exceptionally well as an accent wall in an intimate living room, a bedroom behind the headboard, or a dedicated home study. The deep midnight blue field brings a sense of depth, while the vibrant emerald heart and gold details draw immediate attention.

In rooms with focused evening lighting or low-key accent lamps, the dark background recedes, allowing the warm gold tones and rich green of the amulet to take on a glowing presence. We suggest placing this mural on an uninterrupted wall where the complete motif can be appreciated without being split across corners or blocked by tall shelving units.

Styling it

To balance the graphic strength of the central motif, we suggest pairing this design with furniture that has clean silhouettes and grounded materials. Darker wood tones such as walnut or stained ash complement the deep navy backdrop, while understated brushed brass or antiqued gold hardware will pick up the painted metallic accents in the artwork.

Keep larger textiles relatively quiet in solid tones, allowing the wallpaper to remain the primary visual focal point. Deep navy upholstery, muted forest green cushions, or matte velvet fabrics sit comfortably alongside the palette without competing with the detailed linework of the heart.

Colour combinations

The motif is built around saturated emerald green, warm antique gold, midnight navy blue, and crisp white highlights within the eye.

When choosing paint colours for surrounding walls and woodwork, a deep navy creates an enveloping, cohesive atmosphere. If you prefer higher contrast, off-white with warm undertones or soft stone grey provides a clean frame around the feature wall. For accent accessories and smaller decorative pieces, rich ochre, mustard, and deep bottle green naturally tie into the central illustration.
