Wallpaper - Blush Sky I

In this wallpaper design by June Erica Vess, soft peach and blush clouds rise above a low, painterly horizon of mossy greens, sage, and pale water tones. What we particularly like is the balance between the broad, sweeping brushwork in the sky and the quick, layered strokes across the foreground. The composition carries an open, airy feeling across the upper two-thirds of the wall while grounding the lower portion in earthy, landscape-inspired marks. Printed to your exact dimensions, our wallpapers are PVC-free and feature a subtle physical texture in the paper.

In the room

Because the heaviest color and brushwork are concentrated near the bottom, this mural wallpaper works exceptionally well on a wall behind low furniture. In a bedroom, placing it behind a low headboard lets the soft peach clouds expand upward across the room. In a living room, giving the design an uninterrupted wall creates an expansive sense of depth, with the horizon line anchoring the seating area. The generous pale tones in the sky also respond beautifully to changing natural light throughout the day, catching warmth in the afternoon sun and feeling calm and quiet under soft evening lamplight.

Styling it

To complement the painterly, atmospheric character of the design, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture silhouettes low and relatively quiet. Low-profile pieces in warm, natural wood tones or soft off-white painted finishes help preserve the horizontal flow of the landscape without cutting through the composition. For upholstery and textiles, look toward unpatterned fabrics in cream, muted taupe, or soft sage green, which echo the grounded tones of the foreground without competing with the brushwork.

Colour combinations

The motif centers on a palette of soft blush, warm peach, creamy white, sage, deep moss green, and muted slate. When choosing colors for adjacent walls or trim, warm off-white and soft chalky cream provide a seamless, luminous backdrop that lets the mural carry the room. If you prefer a richer contrast on baseboards or nearby cabinetry, a muted olive or soft earthy sage pulls directly from the brushstrokes along the bottom of the artwork.
