Wallpaper - Tea Time Study

Created by Krystal Adams, our Tea Time Study wallpaper brings a charming, painterly still life to the wall with expressive brushwork and rich colour. The composition features a vibrant jar of cherry preserve with a patterned label, an illustrated ceramic mug showing a playful blue dog motif, and sunlit yellow lemons resting on a dappled floral tabletop. A soft grey-green and warm neutral backdrop balances the vivid pops of red and citrus, giving the artwork a relaxed, artisanal character. Like all our wall murals, this design is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We see this mural wallpaper working beautifully as an accent wall in a kitchen, dining area, or a welcoming breakfast nook where its warm, culinary theme feels right at home. Because the painted objects are arranged as an intimate tabletop study, giving the mural an uninterrupted wall behind a dining table or kitchen banquette lets the full composition and lively brushstrokes be appreciated up close. It also brings an inviting, cheerful mood to a creative home office, pantry, or hallway niche that could use a splash of color and personality.

Styling it

To let the expressive artwork take center stage, we suggest pairing this design with simple, unpretentious furniture. Mid-tone wood finishes or painted cabinetry in soft off-white or muted sage complement the background tones without competing with the illustration. Everyday ceramics, vintage pottery, and casual linen table runners echo the handmade, painterly feel of the scene, creating a space that feels collected and full of character.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a bold palette of bright cherry red, warm lemon yellow, and soft sky blue, grounded by muted sage greens, warm cream, and terracotta brushstrokes. For adjacent walls and trim, warm neutrals like buttermilk, soft oat, or creamy whites create a bright and airy surroundings. If you want to lean into the deeper tones of the motif, a dusty olive green or a muted brick red on surrounding cabinetry or woodwork picks up the jar and leafy details nicely.
