Wallpaper - Moonlit Garden VI

Designed by Katie Pertiet, our Moonlit Garden VI wallpaper combines delicate botanical elements, vintage ephemera, and expressive typography into an open, layered collage. At the centre, the phrase "dreams take flight" anchors the composition in elegant script and classic serif lettering, framed by botanical illustrations of small songbirds perched among daisy blossoms, green leaves, and pussy willow stems. Faded postage stamps, vintage newspaper typography, and soft damask flourishes drift across a gentle, aged cream backdrop. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully on a focal wall where its layered details and central quote can be enjoyed up close. In a bedroom or guest room, placing the design on the wall behind the bed creates a calm, narrative backdrop that anchors the entire space. It also brings plenty of character to a quiet reading nook, home office, or hallway where the delicate ephemera and botanical illustrations reward closer looking. Because the central area stays light and relatively quiet, the composition keeps a spacious, airy feel across the wall rather than feeling cluttered.

Styling it

To complement the vintage scrapbook aesthetic, we would pair this wallpaper with simple, timeless furnishings that let the intricate artwork stand out. Warm natural wood tones like ash or pine sit comfortably alongside the botanical greens and parchment background, while painted off-white or muted sage furniture keeps the overall look light and cohesive. Keeping surrounding textiles quiet and unpatterned, such as simple woven curtains or a plain wool rug, ensures the focus remains on the detailed artwork.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper is built on a soft palette of aged parchment cream, soft sage green, warm botanical ochre, and crisp slate-charcoal text accents. When choosing paint for neighbouring walls, soft off-white, muted warm cream, or gentle pale green shades create a natural flow from the wallpaper into the rest of the room. For accents in lighting or small decorative details, muted antique brass or soft bronze harmonises effortlessly with the vintage stamps and typography.
