Wallpaper - Springtime Tulips

Created by Julia Purinton, our Springtime Tulips wallpaper presents a serene field of white tulips rising against a soft, painterly sky. Broad, visible brushwork gives the floral motif a lovely painted-looking character, with gentle sage and forest greens anchoring the stems below while pale ivory and cool white petals catch the light above. The composition arranges the blooms in varied heights across the lower and middle ground, leaving open air at the top to create a light, balanced rhythm across the wall. Produced made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it brings a fresh, botanical feel to any interior.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working beautifully on a main bedroom wall behind a headboard or along a dining room wall where the vertical movement of the tulips can anchor the lower half of the space. Because the top of the design opens into a soft, airy backdrop, it creates a sense of height and breathing room, making it an excellent choice for rooms with standard ceiling heights or smaller sitting areas. In an entryway or hallway, the panoramic floral composition introduces a calm, welcoming landscape as you move through the home.

Styling it

To complement the painterly aesthetic of the motif, we suggest pairing this design with furniture that has clean, understated lines so the floral detail remains the central focus. Lighter wood furniture, such as pale oak or natural ash, brings out the organic warmth of the green stems without competing with the artwork. For larger fabrics like bedding, curtains, or upholstery, unpatterned textiles in muted ivory, soft cream, or washed pale green maintain a harmonious, tranquil atmosphere throughout the room.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around a palette of crisp white and cool ivory petals, complemented by muted sage, olive, and deep forest green foliage set against a pale blue and warm cream background. Around the wall mural, we suggest working with soft warm white or pale off-white paint on adjoining walls and woodwork to enhance the bright, open feel of the sky. For accents and upholstery, subtle botanical greens, soft stone grey, or muted taupe tie naturally into the shadows of the leaves and soil.
