Wallpaper - Petal Motion I

Our Petal Motion I wallpaper, created by June Erica Vess, captures an expressive abstract floral composition defined by loose, painterly brushstrokes and delicate gestural linework. A soft, warm wash of sunny yellow, chartreuse, blush pink, and muted mint green anchors the centre, layered with lively dabs of white, olive, and gold tones that suggest petals caught in fluid motion. The painted-looking texture and open, airy movement give the artwork an organic, artistic presence that feels luminous rather than heavy. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our wallpaper brings an elegant, painterly focal point to interior walls.

In the room

Because of its expressive focal composition and expansive brushwork, we see this design working beautifully as an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining room. The circular movement and gentle dispersal of color benefit from an uninterrupted wall, such as behind a sofa or bed headboard, where the complete central motif has space to breathe. In a home office or creative studio, the dynamic brushstrokes introduce visual energy without overwhelming the room, especially when balanced by neutral adjacent walls. In spaces with generous natural light, the subtle shifts between the pale blush, soft greens, and warm yellows reveal their full painterly depth throughout the day.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this wallpaper with furniture that has clean, understated lines to let the fluid artwork remain the primary focus. Low-profile seating in neutral linen, bouclé, or soft oatmeal fabrics complements the light background while allowing the rich yellow and pink strokes to stand out. Warm natural wood tones, such as pale ash, white oak, or light birch, harmonize naturally with the earthy olive and golden accents in the brushwork. To maintain an open and serene atmosphere, keep decorative accessories restrained, opting for simple ceramic vessels, matte pottery, and soft, unpatterned drapery that echoes the delicate textures of the mural.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a gentle palette of warm yellow, soft chartreuse, blush pink, muted mint, creamy off-white, and earthy olive tones. When planning surrounding surfaces, we love pairing this wallpaper with warm off-white or soft cream walls and trim to let the artwork blend seamlessly into the room. For a subtler accent, pulling out the pale blush or powdery mint green for adjacent painted walls or larger textiles creates a cohesive, wrap-around atmosphere. If you want to introduce grounded contrast, deeper olive greens or warm ochre accents in cushions, throws, or painted furniture pieces will pick up on the darker gestural details in the composition.
