Wallpaper - Sun Shadow Stems I

Sun Shadow Stems I by June Erica Vess brings a botanical silhouette study into large scale. In this design, we particularly like how the delicate, organic contours of floral branches, leaves, and blooms appear in soft, pale beige against an olive and moss green watercolor-textured background. The composition captures the quiet quality of sun-cast shadows, giving our wallpapers a serene, natural presence on the wall. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this wallpaper is easy to hang and works beautifully across residential spaces.

In the room

Because of the airy, open composition and organic scale, we see this design working exceptionally well in a bedroom, living room, dining area, or study. On a wider uninterrupted wall behind a bed or sofa, the botanical silhouettes have room to breathe, allowing the gentle tonal shifts in the green watercolor backdrop to unfold naturally. In smaller spaces like a quiet hallway, guest room, or home office, the muted contrast keeps the pattern from feeling crowded, creating a calm, grounded backdrop that sits harmoniously alongside your everyday life.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we suggest leaning into natural materials and quiet textures that complement its botanical character. Light to mid-toned woods, such as natural ash or pale oak, mirror the warm beige in the floral silhouettes and help keep the overall space feeling open. Matte ceramics, woven textiles, and softly draped curtains in unbleached or oatmeal tones provide an understated contrast against the olive ground without competing with the organic motifs.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a dialogue between warm, pale beige silhouettes and layered tones of olive, sage, and moss green. For surrounding walls, trim, or larger furniture pieces, soft warm whites, stone, and muted linen tones create a seamless, low-contrast transition that emphasizes the airy quality of the artwork. If you prefer deeper contrast, pairing the wallpaper with rich forest green cabinetry, charcoal accents, or warm earthy neutrals helps anchor the room while highlighting the lighter botanical details.
