Wallpaper - Nautical Symbols Panel IV

Designed by Avery Tillmon, our Nautical Symbols Panel IV wallpaper brings classic maritime geometry together with a distinctly weathered, vintage character. Three signal flag motifs sit side by side across a distressed, cream-toned ground marked with subtle scratches and tonal patina. The composition balances deep navy blue, warm ochre yellow, and faded nautical red against off-white fields, creating a rhythmic and grounded horizontal presence. Printed as a made-to-measure mural, this PVC-free wallpaper offers an understated paper structure that lends tactile depth to the graphic emblems, making it a distinctive focal point for coastal, rustic, or heritage-inspired interiors.

In the room

We see this mural wallpaper working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted wall where all three flag panels have room to be appreciated in sequence. In an entryway, living room, or study, placing the design behind a low credenza, sofa, or desk keeps the primary horizontal motifs fully visible while anchoring the room. Because the artwork relies on a light, weathered background, it delivers visual character without overwhelming smaller or narrower spaces like a hallway or home office.

Styling it

To complement the maritime graphic elements and distressed patina, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with warm, natural materials and clean-lined furniture. Darker woods, weathered oak, or painted navy cabinetry echo the grounded tones of the flags, while matte black metal accents pick up on the darker graphic framing. Keeping large upholstery and drapery in unpatterned, textured neutrals allows the bold geometry of the symbols to remain the central focus of the space.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is anchored by vintage nautical primaries: weathered navy, muted brick red, and antique ochre yellow set against warm off-white and linen tones. For surrounding painted walls and woodwork, warm whites and pale canvas hues create a cohesive, open look. If you prefer a richer contrast, pulling out the deep navy or a muted slate blue for adjacent trim, built-in shelving, or interior doors frames the artwork handsomely.
