Wallpaper - Eyes Are Watching VIII

Our Eyes Are Watching VIII wallpaper centres on a finely detailed engraved eye motif enclosed within a decorative radiating sunburst and ornate ornamental strapwork. Illustrated by Wild Apple Portfolio, the design combines classical scrollwork, acanthus flourishes, and Greek key corner accents set against an aged parchment-toned background. The palette relies on soft muted beige, cream, delicate ochre, soft muted grey-blue, and dark charcoal linework, giving the artwork a vintage archival feel. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our wallpaper brings distinct historical character to a feature wall or accent area.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working particularly well in an entryway, study, hallway, or reading nook where its intricate details and graphic central gaze can be appreciated up close. Because the composition is arranged as a defined ornamental panel, it functions exceptionally well as a feature wall behind a desk, a console table, or a low bookcase.

In a compact space such as a powder room or home office, the symmetrical framing creates an immediate focal point without overwhelming the surrounding walls. For larger spaces, we would give the design a central, uninterrupted wall section so the architectural framing and fine scrollwork remain fully visible.

Styling it

When decorating around this design, we suggest leaning into vintage, eclectic, or classic interior directions that complement its archival engraving style.

We would pair the wallpaper with warm, dark wood furniture, such as antique walnut, stained oak, or mahogany, to ground the lighter parchment background. Keeping surrounding decor relatively calm allows the intricate linework of the eye and strapwork to remain the primary visual focus in the space.

Colour combinations

The motif features an antique palette of soft parchment cream, warm beige, gentle gold-ochre line accents, and touches of faded grey-blue, all anchored by deep charcoal and black hatching.

Around the wallpaper, we suggest pairing adjacent walls or painted woodwork with warm stone, soft ivory, or a muted olive tone. If you prefer deeper contrast, a dark slate, charcoal, or deep espresso brown on surrounding trim or cabinetry picks up the graphic ink details nicely.
