Wallpaper - Purple Hills I

Our Purple Hills I wallpaper by Krystal Adams brings an atmospheric landscape into the room through soft, fluid watercolor washes. The composition balances rolling hills and gentle horizons rendered in misty greens, muted purples, soft lilac pinks, and earthy ochre tones along the foreground. Because the paint washes blend naturally into a luminous, open sky area above, the mural wallpaper creates an expansive sense of depth without overwhelming the space. Made to measure for your wall dimensions, our PVC-free wallpapers feature a subtle physical paper structure that complements the painterly appearance of the design.

In the room

We see this landscape mural working especially well on a feature wall in a bedroom, living room, or calm home office. Because the darker hills and earthy foreground sit in the lower third of the composition while the upper area remains light and airy, it naturally frames low-profile furniture like a headboard or sofa without losing the sense of distance. In a bedroom, placing this design behind the bed anchors the room while keeping the wall feeling open above eye level. For a study or quiet seating corner, the soft color transitions and panoramic feel provide an engaging backdrop that feels grounded yet gentle.

Styling it

When decorating around this design, we suggest keeping furniture lines understated so the painterly landscape remains the main visual feature. Low-slung seating, upholstered headboards in unpatterned weaves, and mid-tone or warm wood furniture help ground the earthy ochre and mossy greens of the lower section. To maintain the open, atmospheric quality of the upper sky, avoid tall, heavy bookcases directly against the mural and instead let the horizon line sit cleanly behind medium or low furnishings.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on soft moss and sage greens, misty lilac, muted heather purple, and earthy ochre, contrasted against pale sky tones. When choosing paint shades or furnishings for the surrounding space, warm off-whites or soft plaster neutrals work effortlessly on adjacent walls to pick up the lightness in the sky. For a slightly richer palette, bringing in accents of muted plum, forest green, or warm ochre through cushions, throws, or painted millwork will echo the deeper pigments in the hills.
