Wallpaper - Assemblage II

Designed by Courtney Prahl, our Assemblage II wallpaper brings together a mixed-media collage of layered paper fragments, vintage ledger sheets, handwritten script, and woven textile effects. What we particularly like about this design is the balance between structured geometric blocks and raw, torn edges, creating rich visual depth across the wall. The neutral palette of warm cream, kraft paper brown, muted slate grey, and deep charcoal adds an understated artistic character to any space. Produced as made-to-measure murals, our PVC-free wallpapers are printed on paper with a subtle physical structure and are straightforward to hang.

In the room

We see Assemblage II working especially well in a study, home office, or living room where its intricate collage details can be appreciated up close. Because the composition balances large textural areas with fine cursive handwriting and ledger lines, it functions beautifully on a feature wall behind a desk, sofa, or low credenza. In rooms with steady natural daylight, the subtle tonal contrasts between the cream woven textures and aged paper notes become particularly distinct, giving the entire wall an authentic, curated feel.

Styling it

To complement the graphic collage aesthetic, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with furniture that features clean, modern silhouettes and honest materials. Lighter wood tones, such as ash or natural oak, bring out the warmth of the kraft paper and parchment elements, while black metal accents or dark-framed furniture echo the deep charcoal and slate patches. Keeping surrounding decorative objects relatively simple and sculptural allows the layered paper motif to serve as the primary visual focus of the room.

Colour combinations

The motif itself is built on an earthy, tonal foundation of warm beige, aged cream, kraft paper tan, slate grey, and deep charcoal black. When choosing paint colors for adjacent walls or trim, consider soft off-whites, warm greys, or muted stone shades to maintain a calm, cohesive backdrop. For a more grounded interior scheme, deep charcoal or muted olive on surrounding woodwork can pick up the darkest collage elements in the design.
