Wallpaper - Timber Clad, Dark Rosewood

Our Timber Clad, Dark Rosewood wallpaper brings the deep, organic rhythm of dark vertical wood paneling into an interior. Rich espresso, warm chestnut, and smoky walnut tones flow through fluid grain patterns, subtle knots, and natural board divisions across the surface. What we particularly appreciate about this design is how the vertical alignment gives walls an architectural presence while maintaining a grounded, atmospheric warmth. Custom made to measure and entirely PVC-free, the wallpaper has a subtle surface structure in the paper that complements the visual depth of the timber motif.

In the room

We love how this design anchors a space, making it a compelling backdrop for a living room, dining room, or a focused home office. The vertical direction of the planks naturally draws the eye upward, which works nicely in rooms where you want to emphasize ceiling height or bring structure to an expansive wall. Across a feature wall behind a bed or framing a dining table, the deep wood tones create an intimate, cocooning atmosphere without overwhelming the room. In rooms with generous daylight, the subtle transitions between dark brown and warm undertones reveal themselves cleanly, while low evening lamplight softens the grain into a moody, sophisticated setting.

Styling it

Because the wood grain provides significant visual interest and depth, we like balancing it with clean silhouettes and varied textures:

• Contrast the deep, dark timber tones with upholstery in cream, ivory, or warm oatmeal, which keeps the room feeling balanced rather than visually heavy.
• Introduce warm metal finishes like brushed brass or antique bronze in light fixtures and cabinet hardware to catch the light against the dark backdrop.
• Pair with low-profile furniture in soft matte finishes or structured painted pieces rather than competing timber finishes.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by a palette of deep rosewood brown, dark walnut, cocoa, and subtle warm amber undertones in the grain. To create a cohesive palette around it, we recommend pairing it with muted warm neutrals such as linen white, greige, or soft stone on adjacent walls and trim. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping aesthetic, deep olive green, warm ochre, or burnt terracotta accents complement the organic warmth of the dark wood effect.
