Wallpaper - Timber Clad, Graphite

Our Timber Clad, Graphite wallpaper brings the visual character of vertical dark timber panelling into an interior. The design features wide vertical planks with visible, flowing wood grain patterns in deep shades of graphite, charcoal, and soft faded black. The vertical seams create a clear architectural rhythm across the wall, while the tonal variation within each plank softens the dark palette and gives the motif depth without overwhelming contrast. Produced as made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, this design provides an atmospheric backdrop that anchors both contemporary and rustic spaces.

In the room

We especially like this design on a feature wall in a living room, dining room, or bedroom. The strong vertical lines help draw the eye upward, which can accentuate ceiling height in rooms of various sizes. In a dining area or behind a living room sofa, the deep charcoal timber motif creates an intimate, grounded backdrop that lets surrounding furniture stand out. Because the pattern relies on tone-on-tone depth rather than bright contrast, it also works well wrapped across multiple walls in a home office or study where you want a moody, cohesive atmosphere.

Styling it

The dark vertical grain pairs naturally with contrasting textures and materials. We would combine this wallpaper with lighter upholstered furniture in off-white, oat, or light grey to balance the depth of the graphite planks. Warm wood furniture, such as natural oak or teak, provides an appealing contrast against the cool-toned charcoal timber. For decorative accents, consider brushed brass or matte black lighting fixtures, which echo the linear quality of the planks without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The motif itself is composed of deep graphite, charcoal grey, and soft off-black tones with subtle cool ash undertones in the grain. When selecting colours for adjacent painted walls and woodwork, soft off-whites, warm greiges, or pale pebble greys create a crisp, modern contrast. For a richer, more enveloping palette, deep olive, muted forest green, or warm cognac leather tones complement the dark wood visual texture nicely.
