Wallpaper - Kasumi Garden, Persimmon

Created by Marta Cortese, our Kasumi Garden, Persimmon wallpaper brings together an intricate botanical landscape set against a deep, warm persimmon backdrop. The composition builds upward from a dense, layered foreground of blooming peonies, lilies, and delicate wild blossoms into tall bamboo stems and stylized cloud formations drifting through the upper half. Soft cream, pale blush, and warm ochre floral petals create a striking contrast with the earthy terracotta tones behind them, while stylized scalloped border bands anchor the lower portion of the design. Like all Wallism mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because the botanical illustration gathers its richest detail along the lower half while opening into atmospheric clouds above, we find this wall mural particularly well suited to living rooms, bedrooms, or dining spaces where furniture naturally sits against the wall. Placed behind a low-profile sofa, a dining bench, or a bed without a tall headboard, the dense floral foreground frames your furniture while the taller bamboo and sky-like backdrop continue upward into the open wall space. In rooms with standard or higher ceilings, this vertical movement helps draw the eye upward without making the wall feel crowded. In a wide hallway or entryway, giving this mural an uninterrupted run allows the full panoramic rhythm of the garden to unfold naturally.

Styling it

To let the intricate botanicals take center stage, we suggest pairing this design with furniture that has clean, grounded silhouettes. Darker stained wood or warm mid-tone timber echo the earthy persimmon background, while pale upholstery in natural off-white, oat, or linen shades helps reflect the lighter tones found in the floral petals. Keeping surrounding decorative accessories simple prevents visual clutter, allowing the layered linework and delicate petals to remain the primary decorative focus of the room.

Colour combinations

The palette within our Kasumi Garden, Persimmon wallpaper centers on warm terracotta and rust tones paired with soft ivory, creamy buttercup, pale blush, and muted charcoal in the scalloped groundwork. For adjacent painted surfaces and baseboards, we love extending the warm mood with soft almond, warm biscuit, or creamy neutrals that mirror the lighter flower petals. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, painting woodwork or adjacent walls in an earthy terracotta or muted umber creates a sophisticated, continuous backdrop around the mural.
