Wallpaper - Kasumi Garden, Morning Mist

Designed by Marta Cortese, our Kasumi Garden, Morning Mist wallpaper presents an intricate botanical landscape inspired by classic East Asian garden paintings. Slender bamboo stalks rise through floating mist and soft clouds, anchoring an abundant garden of white blossoms, blush peonies, delicate blue irises, and scattered red petals. Deep indigo and warm ochre scalloped cloud bands frame the lower edge against a subtle sage green backdrop. Printed as a made-to-measure wall mural on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, the design brings balanced scenic detail into the home.

In the room

Because the dense floral detail is concentrated along the lower half while the bamboo and misty sky open up toward the top, we especially like this mural wallpaper behind a low-profile bed or living room sofa. The vertical bamboo canes draw the eye upward, giving open wall areas a graceful sense of height without crowding the upper space. In a dining room or wide hallway, installing this design across a long, continuous wall allows the full panorama of flowers and drifting cloud motifs to unfold naturally.

Styling it

To let the intricate floral linework and stylized clouds remain the focal point, we suggest pairing this design with quiet, uncluttered surroundings.

• Choose furniture with clean, low silhouettes in dark stained wood or matte black to echo the deep indigo scalloped borders at the base of the mural.
• Balance the detailed flora by keeping surrounding textiles plain, opting for unpatterned neutral weaves that share the soft, muted tone of the background mist.
• Incorporate subtle accents in brushed brass or muted gold to subtly mirror the warm metallic-toned bands along the bottom edge.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built on a quiet foundation of pale sage green and misty ivory, enlivened by vibrant touches of cornflower blue, peony pink, deep crimson, and dark indigo. For surrounding walls and woodwork, soft off-white or muted celadon creates an airy, harmonious backdrop that extends the garden atmosphere. If you prefer a richer contrast, pulling the deep navy from the lower cloud layers onto adjacent doors, cabinetry, or trim provides a grounded, tailored frame for the artwork.
